Events & News

Social events and activities help promote the neighborliness of the community by offering opportunities for families and neighbors to get together. PEHA sponsors a few annual events such as our Spring Membership party, a Fall Get Together and National Night Out. As part of the broader community, we participate with Estates West, Highland North and Holiday Park Homeowners Associations to celebrate Easter and July 4th with events at Bowie Elementary School. If you have children under 4 and want to meet other Mom’s and kids, join the PEHA MOM’s Club! They meet to do fun things throughout the year.  (To contact the Mom’s group, complete the Contact Us form)

As new residents move into Prestonwood East, we personally welcome each resident with a Welcome Bag of goodies and information. Let us know if you are a new neighbor so we can welcome you to PEHA (Contact Welcoming Chairperson, Sharon Stinson at jestwo@sbcglobal.net)

Annual events in which we participate as a group:

January – March, Membership Drive

PEHA Board and Block Reps ask you to join by paying the $45 annual dues during the annual Membership Drive. This will help develop the operating budget for PEHA to water, mow and maintain the public green areas and reach you with written materials.

Easter Egg Hunt, usually the Saturday before Easter

Prestonwood East and Estates West Homeowners Associations join forces to bring you this wonderful, neighborly event! Kids ages 8 and under will enjoy this multi-neighborhood celebration at Bowie Elementary School playground. Come for games, a DJ and to hunt Easter Eggs! Click here or visit our facebook page for more information and to learn how you can help in 2016.

Spring Fling Party, usually held at the end of March

Come celebrate the end of the Membership Drive – location information will be provided in invitation flyers.

July 4th Celebration, held close to July 4th

We get together with Estates West Homeowners Association and celebrate Independence Day with a neighborhood parade and lots of food and fun. Don’t miss it! In 2016, this fun-filled event will be held on Monday, July 4th at 10am. The parade starts walking at Springcreek Road & Arapaho Road (at Neema Gospel Church) and ends up at Bowie Elementary with games for the kids and hotdogs and chips for all!
