Events

Social events and activities help promote the neighborliness of the community by offering opportunities for families and neighbors to get together. PEHA sponsors a few annual events such as our Spring Membership party and National Night Out. As part of the broader community, we participate with Estates West, Highland North and Holiday Park Homeowners Associations to celebrate Easter and July 4th with events at Bowie Elementary School.

As new residents move into Prestonwood East, we personally welcome each resident with a Welcome Bag of goodies and information. Let us know if you are a new neighbor so we can welcome you to PEHA (Contact Welcoming Chairperson, Sandy Leonard, sandyleonard@sbcglobal.net)

Annual events in which we participate

January – March, Annual Membership Drive

PEHA Board and Block Reps ask you to join by paying annual dues during this event. The Board sets the annual operating budget to balance PEHA revenue with expected expenses for Beautification of common areas, Communication, Social Events, Administration, Membership Directory and emergency funds.

Easter Egg Hunt, usually the Saturday before Easter

Prestonwood East and Estates West Homeowners Associations join forces to bring you this wonderful, neighborly event! Kids ages 8 and under will enjoy this multi-neighborhood celebration at Bowie Elementary School playground. Come for games, a DJ and to hunt Easter Eggs!

Spring Fling Party, usually held at the end of March

Come celebrate the end of the Membership Drive – location information will be provided in invitation flyers.

July 4th Celebration, held close to July 4th

We get together with Estates West Homeowners Association and celebrate Independence Day with a neighborhood parade and lots of food and fun. The parade organizes and starts in the church parking lot at Spring Creek Road & Arapaho Road and ends at Bowie Elementary with games for the kids and hotdogs and chips for all! I

National Night Out, early October

Get to know your neighbors! Each block will organize their own activities for people to meet and greet, and enjoy refreshments.

Annual PEHA Meeting, held in October

Come learn what PEHA has done the past year, meet and vote in a new PEHA Board.

Holiday Decorating, December

A group of dedicated neighborhood volunteers help put the wreaths on the street poles and decorate around the neighborhood for the holidays.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with these events. Watch your email and check the events calendar for more information about how to get involved.
